Martinez, California (April 18, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a minor injury accident that happened early Saturday morning in Martinez.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 1:14 a.m. on eastbound Highway 4, just west of Morello Avenue on-ramp.

A Ford Edge and a Nissan Pathfinder collided under unclear circumstances.

First responders found both vehicles on the right-hand shoulder.

An unknown number of parties suffered minor injuries in the crash and an ambulance was sent to the scene to provide medical aid.

The Ford Edge was towed away with minor front-end damage.
