Woman Killed in Martinez Train Crash near Old Orchard Road
Martinez, California (June 16, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed by a BNSF Railway freight train on Saturday evening in Martinez, according to the authorities.
The incident happened just before 6:30 p.m. June 15, on the tracks near Old Orchard Avenue.
Authorities said the victim was not in the crosswalk when she was hit.

According to the report, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.
No one on the train was injured.
Martinez police and the BNSF officials are conducting an investigation into the incident.
