Martinez, California (July 12, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle Friday morning on 680 Freeway in Martinez, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident happened in the southbound lanes at the eastbound Highway 4 exit.
The victim was hit by a Dodge Chrysler under unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian was conscious and breathing with a laceration to the hand.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the victim.
The accident is under an active investigation by CHP.
