Martinez, CA: Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 4 near Franklin Canyon Road
1 Injured in Martinez Car Crash on Highway 4 near Franklin Canyon Road
Contra Costa, California (May 18, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that left at least one person injured in Martinez on Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at about 7:50 a.m. on Highway 4 near Franklin Canyon Road, according to a CHP report.
Officers who responded to the incident located a van, a Prius and two other vehicles at the scene of the accident. The manner in which the accident happened, however, was not immediately established.
One person was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by the firefighters who responded to the incident.
As per the CHP incident logs, at least one person was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
