Martha Martinez Killed in Car Accident on Highway 111 near Overture Drive in Palm Springs
Palm Springs, California (March 17, 2021) – 61-year-old Martha Martinez has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau as the woman who was killed in a car crash in Palm Springs on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened at about 6:45 a.m. on Highway 111 near Overture Drive.
Martinez, a resident of Santa Monica, was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer when she went off the roadway and crashed into a cable fence. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to overturn, landing on its wheels in the dirt shoulder.
Martinez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was killed in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
