Calistoga, California (April 27, 2021) – A Pope Valley motorcyclist was injured in a Sunday morning crash near Calistoga in Napa County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 25, on Highway 29, just north of Tubbs Lane outside Calistoga.

The CHP said Mark Linley, 66, was riding a motorcycle on Highway 29 when he lost control of the bike and struck the pavement.

Linley, who was wearing a helmet, was airlifted to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa with possible major injuries.

The CHP said wet conditions may have played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
