52-Year-Old Mark Gregory Hurt in Yucca Valley DUI Motorcycle Accident at Joshua Lane and Highway 62
Yucca Valley, California (September 9, 2019) – 52-year-old Mark Gregory of Palms Springs was rear-ended and injured by an alleged drunk driver in Yucca Valley on Sunday morning, according to a Sheriff’s Department report.
The motorcycle collision happened at approximately 11:19 a.m. September 8, at Joshua Lane and Highway 62.
Gregory was on his motorcycle stopped at the traffic light when he was rear-ended by Juan DeLuna, 51, of Thousand Palms, who was driving a Ford pick-up truck.
Gregory sustained multiple broken bones in the crash and was rushed to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for treatment.
Deputies affirmed that DeLuna was under the influence of meth and marijuana at the time of the collision. DeLuna was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin jail where he was charged for driving under the influence of drugs causing injury.
The investigation is ongoing.
