Mark Anthony Verdugo Arrested in Fatal Visalia Crash at Walnut Avenue and Court Street
Visalia, California (June 16, 2019) – A driver was arrested after a fatal car accident that left one person dead in Visalia late Saturday night, according to the authorities.
The crash took place in the area of Walnut Avenue and Court Street at around 11:30 p.m. June 15.
According to police, a driver in a Lamborghini failed to stop for the authorities who were conducting a felony stop in the area of Walnut and Conyer Street.
The driver, identified as Mark Anthony Verdugo, 18, of Visalia, fled the scene and crashed into two vehicles at Walnut Avenue and Court Street. The vehicles struck were a Lincoln MKZ sedan and a Toyota Camry.

Verdugo was hospitalized with a back injury. Police said the driver is expected to face multiple charges including felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
The driver of the Toyota and his passenger, were both transported to Kaweah Delta Medical center, where the female passenger was pronounced deceased. The identity of the deceased victim was not released.
The driver of the Lincoln sustained minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
