Marissa Ortiz Killed in San Bernardino Truck Accident on 5th Street
Marissa Ortiz ID’d as 1 of 3 Victims Killed in Rear-End Crash on West 5th Street in San Bernardino

San Bernardino County, California (October 26, 2019) – One of the three people who were killed early Friday morning in a traffic accident involving a semi-truck in San Bernardino has been identified as Marissa Monique Michelle Ortiz, 23, of San Bernardino, according to the San Bernardino County Sherrif-Coroner.
The deadly crash happened at about 1:29 a.m. Friday, October 25 in the 1100 block of West 5th Street.
A blue car was reportedly traveling westbound on 5th Street when it slammed into the rear of a tractor-trailer.
Officers with the San Bernardino Police Department responded to the scene and found the blue car wedged underneath the back of the semi-truck with at least three occupants.
Ortiz, who was riding as a passenger in the blue car, died in the crash. The driver and the other passenger were also killed in the accident.
Speed is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The San Bernardino Police Department is investigating the crash.
