1 Killed in Mariposa County Accident on Highway 49 South near Watt Road Extension
Mariposa County, California (October 30, 2020) – One person was killed Friday night in a single-vehicle traffic collision in Mariposa County, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash, which was reported to the California Highway Patrol officers at about 11:08 p.m. Friday, October 23, happened on Highway 49 South near Watt Road Extension.
The CHP said a Chevrolet pickup was traveling on Highway 49 South when, for an unknown reason, it veered off the roadway and went down an embankment.
The vehicle then caught fire.
Deadly Single-Car Crash on Highway 49 in Mariposa County
One person in the vehicle died in the crash. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of family.
