Marina, California (June 2, 2019) – Two customers were injured when a car crashed into a 7-Eleven store on Friday afternoon in Marina, according to Marina Police Department.

The wreck happened at about 5:30 p.m. May 31, in the 3000 block of Del Monte Boulevard.

Marina police said a car lost control and slammed into the store for unknown reasons.

One customer was trapped in the wreckage and debris. The customer was transported to a hospital for treatment.

A second customer was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The driver of the involved car stayed at the scene after the incident.

Police said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
