Maria Scott Injured in Calexico Car Accident on Willoughby Road near Dogwood Road
Calexico, California (April 10, 2019) – A motorist was injured in a suspected DUI Car accident which occurred in Calexico, Imperial County, on Monday afternoon, April 8.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred at about 4:36 p.m. on Willoughby Road near Dogwood Road.
The authorities said Francisco Carrizosa of Calexico was driving his car eastbound on the roadway when he failed to yield to a stop sign and collided with a northbound car operated by Maria Scott.

Scott sustained serious injuries and was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Carrizosa fled the scene of the accident but was later arrested for felony DUI and felony hit-and-run. He is currently hospitalized at ECRMC for a laceration to his head.

The accident remains under investigation.
