75-Year-Old Maria Perez Killed in Tulare Pedestrian Crash on Tulare Avenue and J Street
Tulare, California (January 24, 2019) – An elderly woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Tulare on Wednesday afternoon, according to the police.
The crash happened at about 3:51 p.m. January 23 on Tulare Avenue and J Street.
Police said Maria Guadalupe Perez, 75, of Tulare, was in the crosswalk when a vehicle turning onto J Street struck her.
Perez was transported by the EMS to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The crash is under investigation.
