Marco Vasquez Jr Hospitalized after Tonyville Car Crash on Road 216 near Avenue 247
Tonyville, California (September 2, 2020) – Marco Antonio Vasquez, Jr, 25, from Lindsay, has been identified as the man who was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident on Friday morning in Tonyville, authorities said.
The major injury crash transpired at about 6:11 a.m., on August 28, on Road 216, north of Avenue 247.
According to the police, a 2005 Jaguar sedan, driven by Vasquez Jr, was traveling northbound on Road 216 at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, it drifted onto the dirt shoulder and struck a wood utility pole.
The Jaguar then continued driving northbound along the shoulder, where it crashed into a wrought iron fence and struck a second wood utility pole.

Vasquez Jr, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained major injuries in the accident and was Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.
The roadway was closed for an unknown period due to the accident.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
