56-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Manteca Crash on Highway 120 near South Main Street
Manteca, California (March 4, 2021) – A 56-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed by a truck on Wednesday morning in Manteca, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 7:32 a.m., on March 3, on Highway 120 bypass under the South Main Street overpass.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was struck by a city solid waste truck on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
