Man Seriously Hurt in Pedestrian Accident at Walnut Avenue and Shirk Road
Visalia, California (January 22, 2020) – A man was severely hurt after a pedestrian accident Sunday at an intersection in Visalia, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Shirk Road, January 19.
Authorities said a male pedestrian was walking near the junction when he was hit by a 2017 Honda Civic for unknown reasons.
Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident in Visalia
Responding emergency crews transported the man to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately released.
It remained unclear if the driver of the involved car remained at the scene or he fled after the crash.
An investigation is underway.
