Wesley Stuart Arrested after DUI Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident at Douglas Drive and Mission Avenue in Oceanside
Oceanside, California (December 18, 2019) – A man has been arrested on suspicion of DUI following a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred at an intersection in Oceanside on Tuesday night.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 10:15 p.m. December 17, at the intersection of Douglas Drive and Mission Avenue.
The authorities said a 65-year-old man was walking in the area when he was hit by a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 27-year-old Wesley Stuart of Oceanside.
The unidentified pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The motorist fled the scene after the accident but was later arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence.
No other information was provided.
