Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Ashby Road near Fern Street in Merced
Merced, California (June 5, 2020) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Thursday night in Merced.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the deadly motorcycle accident happened at 2020 Ashby Road near Fern Street at about 6:45 p.m. June 4.
A 51-year-old man was riding a 2004 Honda Rebel when he collided with a 2004 Lincoln Navigator driven by 59-year-old Maria Tirado.
CHP officers responded to the incident and administered CPR on the injured rider.

Sadly, the man died while undergoing treatment at the scene.
Tirado remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs and alcohol were ruled out as factors in the collision.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
