Fresno, California (November 5, 2020) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Wednesday morning in Fresno, authorities said.

The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 5:30 a.m., on November 4, on Fresno Street and Belmont Avenue.

According to the police, the man was standing in the center median on Belmont Avenue when he fell onto the roadway.

Unfortunately, an eastbound SUV on Belmont Avenue struck him and drove off, the officials said.

Witnesses reportedly tried to help the man, but a second car came toward them. They moved out of the way, and the pedestrian was struck a second time.

Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Fresno Street and Belmont Avenue

The male pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Both vehicles involved in the accident fled the scene, and the police are seeking the drivers. The second car drove eastbound on Belmont Avenue.
