60-Year-Old Man Killed, 64-Year-Old Woman Injured in Martinez Car Accident on Alhambra Avenue at Alhambra Valley Road

Martinez, California (April 19, 2018) – A man was killed and a woman was injured Friday afternoon in a head-on crash in Martinez, police said.
The deadly accident, which was reported at around 2:40 p.m., happened on Alhambra Avenue at Alhambra Valley Road.
According to the police, two vehicles collided head-on for reasons still under investigation.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed CPR on one of the drivers, identified as a 60-year-old man, but he did not survive and was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
His name has not been disclosed pending notification of his relatives.
The other driver, identified as a 64-year-old woman, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to John Muir Medical Center.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were considered factors in the crash.
