Antonio Contreras Arrested after Fatal Collision at West Sycamore Avenue and North Main Street in Orange
Orange, California (July 19, 2021) – A man was killed in a DUI car crash that occurred on Sunday afternoon at an intersection in Orange County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported at around 4 p.m. July 18, in the area of West Sycamore Avenue and North Main Street.
Antonio Sanchez Contreras, 23, of Los Angeles, was driving a Honda Accord at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a Mazda Protégé.
The police said the Mazda driver was making a left turn when the collision occurred.
The Mazda driver was killed in the crash. His identity was not disclosed pending notification of the family.
Contreras was unhurt and was arrested for driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.
