Man Killed in San Mateo County Accident on U.S. Highway 101 near San Bruno Avenue

San Mateo County, California (December 4, 2020) – A man believed to be in his mid to late 20s was killed in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning near San Francisco International Airport in San Mateo County, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash happened at about 7:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near San Bruno Avenue, the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP, a silver Toyota Yaris was traveling northbound on Highway 101 when the driver made an unsafe right lane change and crashed into the rear of another vehicle.
After the impact, the Toyota Yaris hit a concrete wall and rolled multiples times, ejecting the driver.
The vehicle continued to roll over and landed on the driver.
Fatal Rear-End Crash on Highway 101 in San Mateo County
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated the driver, who was pinned underneath the vehicle. He was declared deceased at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of family.
