45-Year-Old Man Killed in Oroville Crash at Highway 70 and Clark Road

Oroville, California (July 11, 2021) – A man was killed Friday morning in a traffic accident in Oroville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 9, in the area of Highway 70 and Clark Road.
CHP said a 45-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck in the area when he failed to slow down and rear-ended a Payless Supply vehicle that had stopped for the traffic light.

The driver of the pickup truck was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Payless vehicle did not suffer any injuries.
Traffic on eastbound Highway 70 was diverted at Highway 191, also known as Clark Road. It is undetermined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
