Man Dies, 1 Seriously Injured in Hanford Car Crash on Jackson Avenue and 10th Avenue Tuesday afternoon
Hanford, California (August 6, 2019) – A man was killed and another person was seriously injured in a traffic accident at an intersection near Hanford Tuesday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The deadly crash took place at about 2:30 p.m. on Jackson Avenue and 10th Avenue.
As per the CHP report, the man was driving a van westbound on Jackson Avenue when he failed to stop at a red light and slammed into a Chevy truck that was heading northbound on 10th Avenue.

The driver of the van died in the crash. His name has not been disclosed pending family notification.
The driver of the Chevy truck suffered major injuries and was transported to Kaweah Delta.
