19-Year-Old Man Dies in Cajon Pass Car Accident on 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road

Cajon Pass, California (August 5, 2019) – A 19-year-old man was killed Saturday night in a traffic accident involving two vehicles in the Cajon Pass just north of San Bernardino, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash occurred at about 11:36 p.m. Saturday, August 3 on 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Prius and Kia Sol were both heading southbound on the 15 Freeway when for an unknown reason, the Kia slammed into the left rear of the Toyota.

The force of the impact sent the Kia off the right shoulder and rolled over down a dirt and brush embankment.

The 19-year-old driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The occupants of the Toyota was uninjured.
