Bicyclist Hit and Injured by SUV on North Torrey Pines Road near Muir College Drive in La Jolla
San Diego, California (July 4, 2021) – A 56-year-old man was injured after being hit by an SUV as he rode his bicycle in La Jolla on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on North Torrey Pines Road near Muir College Drive at about 9 p.m. July 3.
The man was riding a bicycle in the area when a 2020 Lexus NX300 drifted into the marked bike lane and struck him.
The man sustained multiple facial injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The female driver of the SUV was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
