Man Critically Injured in Fresno Pedestrian Accident at Belmont Avenue and Marks Avenue
Fresno, California (January 16, 2021) – A man was hit and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver on Friday evening in southwest Fresno Friday, officials said.
At about 6:00 p.m., on January 15, the California Highway Patrol responded to the major injury pedestrian accident at Belmont Avenue and Marks Avenue.
According to the CHP, the man was walking westbound on Marks Avenue, crossing the road, when a brown pickup truck that was passing a vehicle struck him.
Pedestrian Hurt in Crash at Belmont and Marks Avenues
The pedestrian was critically injured and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
