Elderly Man Killed in Venice Pedestrian Crash on Lincoln Boulevard at East Marco Court
Venice, California (May 31, 2021) – An elderly man was hit and killed by an electric scooter on Saturday night in Venice, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 9:45 p.m., on May 29, on Lincoln Boulevard at East Marco Court.
According to the police, the elderly man was struck on a sidewalk by a rented electric scooter, driven by a man suspected of DUI who had a passenger on board.

Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver and the passenger sustained minor injuries in the accident. The driver of the scooter remained at the scene and was arrested for DUI.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
