Major Injury Car Accident Reported on Bay Bridge in San Francisco
1 Injured in San Francisco Car Crash on 80 Freeway
San Francisco, California (March 11, 2021) – A major injury multi-vehicle collision blocked the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 Freeway on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco on Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 8 p.m. on I-80 near the center anchorage of the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge.
At least six vehicles were involved in the accident. However, the manner in which the accident happened was not immediately established.
As per the CHP report, the collision resulted in major injuries and a possible fatality.
Four lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed as the authorities examined the scene.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
