Mai Ka Thao Seriously Injured in Crescent City Car Accident on Highway 199
Crescent City, California (February 5, 2020) – One of the victims of a serious injury collision on Monday night near Crescent City has been identified as Mai Ka Ying Thao, 21, of Crescent City, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at around 8:30 p.m. February 3, on Highway 199, north of Siskiyou Fork Road.
According to the CHP, Kostadin Biserinkov, 46, of Cave Junction, Oregon, was driving a 2015 Honda northbound on Highway 199 when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the centerline and collided with an oncoming 1997 Toyota driven by Pa Houa Thao, 25, of Crescent City.
Mai Ka Thao Injured in Crescent City Car Crash
Mai Ka was a passenger in the Toyota. The three parties were all transported to a hospital with major injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
