Los Angeles, California (November 24, 2020) – Luis Daniel Quinonez, 17, of Los Angeles, has been identified as one of the three parties who were killed in a traffic accident that left two other persons critically injured on Monday morning in the area of Vermont Vista, Los Angeles, according to the coroner’s office.

The deadly accident happened at about 12:14 a.m., on November 23, on the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway at Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway.

According to the authorities, a gray 2009 Nissan Altima, driven by Quinonez, drifted to the right and crashed into the attenuator barrels within the gore point designed to keep vehicles from crossing over to the wrong side of the road.

Following the collision, two passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl, were ejected from the vehicle, the officials said.

Sadly, Quinonez and the 19-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old girl was transported to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were critically injured in the accident and were also transported to Harbor UCLA Medical Center for treatment.

Three teens in the Altima were reportedly not wearing seat belts, and all the parties involved in the accident were from Los Angeles.

The southbound 110 Freeway and both eastbound and westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway were closed due to the accident. As of 4:13 a.m., the roadways were reopened.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
