Lucerne Valley, CA: Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash at Old Woman Springs Road and Visalia Avenue
1 Killed in Lucerne Valley Car Accident at Old Woman Springs Road and Visalia Avenue
Lucerne Valley, California (March 2, 2019) – One person was killed Friday evening in a traffic accident at a Lucerne Valley intersection, authorities said.
The horrific crash took place at around 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 1 at the intersection of Old Woman Springs Road and Visalia Avenue.
According to the authorities, a Hyundai Elantra was heading southbound on a dirt trail towards the 35000 block of Old Woman Spring Road when for an unknown reason it was hit by a street sweeper, with its brushes up, travelling at highway speeds.
The driver of the Elantra died at the scene. The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of family.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
