Los Angeles, California (June 23, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of an alleged hit-and-run collision that left one person injured in Central Los Angeles Monday afternoon.

The two-vehicle crash took place on U.S. Route 101 just about 2:50 p.m. on June 21.

The accident involved a white Merced SUV and a red BMW that crashed in the southbound lanes of the highway for undetermined reasons.

At least one person was hurt following the accident.

The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to locate one of the drivers who fled the scene after the crash.
