Cerritos, California (May 30, 2021) – A 37-year-old male motorcyclist from Long Beach was killed in a Sunday morning traffic accident in Cerritos, authorities said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly motorcycle accident transpired at about 2:35 a.m. on the westbound Artesia (91) Freeway, west of Shoemaker Avenue.

The CHP said the rider was riding a 2008 Yamaha, going westbound when, for unknown reasons, the bike veered to the right and in front of the vehicle. 

Sadly, the male rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
