37-Year-Old Man Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash on East 7th Street near Ultimo Avenue
Long Beach, California (March 18, 2020) – A man was struck and killed by at least two vehicles on Monday night in Long Beach, according to a police report.
The accident happened shortly before 10 p.m. March 16, in the area of East 7th Street near Ultimo Avenue.
According to the report, a 37-year-old Long Beach man was trying to cross East 7th Street outside a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound. The impact threw the man into the eastbound lanes, where he was hit by a 61-year-old Long Beach woman driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Man Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash
The westbound vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
The eastbound woman stayed at the scene and rendered aid to the victim.
The pedestrian died in the accident. His name has not been released.
Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
