One Person Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash on San Gabriel Avenue
Long Beach, California (June 12, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon hit-and-run accident that killed one person in Long Beach at the Century Villages at Cabrillo apartment complex.
The deadly accident transpired at about 3:00 p.m. in the 2000 block of San Gabriel Avenue.
According to the officials, a driver of a gray SUV was headed southbound on the roadway when it plowed into the security station at the complex and struck a security guard.

Sadly, the security guard sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The building was also destroyed in the collision.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
