1-Year-Old Boy Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident at Lei and Polynesian Drives

Long Beach, California (August 17, 2020) – A pedestrian accident that took place in Long Beach Saturday night, resulted in the death of a 1-year-old boy.
The fatal crash happened at the intersection of Lei and Polynesian drives just about 8:00 p.m. August 15.
The accident happened when a father and his son exited a rideshare automobile in front of their home, and he possibly got distracted and lost sight of his kid. The boy was then hit by the rideshare vehicle after he ran in front of it.
The rideshare operator remained at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation.
Fatal Long Beach Pedestrian Crash at Lei and Polynesian Drives
The pedestrian died at the hospital while undergoing treatment of life-threatening injuries sustained in the wreck.
Meanwhile, the fatal crash remains under an active investigation by the Long Beach Police Department.
