Long Beach, California (October 23, 2020) – A 56-year-old Bellflower woman died following an alleged hit-and-run bicycle accident in Long Beach Wednesday night, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

The fatal crash was reported at about 9:00 p.m. at Artesia Boulevard and Downey Avenue.

The female party was riding her bicycle at the Long Beach intersection when she was struck by a semi-trailer, with a white cab and a large-white trailer, in unclear circumstances.

The involved driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Sadly, the bicyclist was declared dead at the crash site.
