1 Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in Lompoc Car Crash on Highway 1 near Santa Rosa Road
Lompoc, California (February 15, 2020) – A person was killed and two others injured in a deadly head-on collision on Highway 1 near Lompoc on Friday evening, the CHP said.
The crash happened near Santa Rosa Road at about 6:20 p.m. February 14.
CHP said a Mazda Miata and a sedan were involved. The two collided head-on in the northbound lanes of Highway 1 for unknown reasons.
At least one person had to be extricated from the wreckage by the Santa Barbara County firefighters and Lompoc Fire department crews.

One person was killed in the crash.
Two other people were sent to the hospital with serious injuries. One of the victims was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The crash caused the closure of Highway 1 in both directions as officials worked at the scene.
The CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
