Lockeford, California (July 18, 2019) – A bicyclist was hospitalized after being involved in a traffic collision in Lockeford Thursday morning, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The Bicycle collision happened at about 7:31 a.m. July 18, on Highway 12, near East Brandt Road in San Joaquin County.

The accident happened when a red truck hit a bicyclist on the roadway for unknown reasons.

The bicycle rider suffered severe injuries in the accident. The victim was then rushed to the hospital for further treatment

The cause of the collision is still under an active investigation.
