One Person Injured in Livermore Big Rig Crash on Interstate 580 at Altamont Pass

Livermore, California (May 12, 2019) – One person was injured Thursday evening in a traffic accident involving two big rigs in Livermore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at about 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9 on Interstate 580 at Altamont Pass between Livermore and Tracy.
According to the CHP, two tractor-trailers collided for an undetermined reason on Interstate 580 at Altamont Pass. The accident also sparked a minimal grass fire.

Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to one of the drivers who sustained unknown injuries as a result of the crash. The patient was then taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Further details were not immediately available, and the crash remains under investigation.
