Ling Ping Kong ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Folsom Crash at Blue Ravine Road and Natoma Station Drive
Folsom, California (May 18, 2019) – Authorities have identified Ling Ping Kong, 81 as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday morning at a Folsom intersection.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15 at the intersection of Blue Ravine Road and Natoma Station Drive.
Police said Kong was crossing the street within a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle that was being driven westbound on Blue Ravine Road at Natoma Station Drive by a male adult driver.

Kong was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and complied with investigators. The motorist told authorities that he thought he had a green light and didn’t see the pedestrian.
Blue Ravine Road was blocked at Natoma Station as police investigated the accident.
