Fresno, California (January 7, 2019) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office had identified the 72-year-old Exeter woman who was killed in a traffic collision Monday evening in Fresno.

Linda Wankum died in the deadly accident that happened at around 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, on Chestnut and Clayton avenues.

As per the report, Wankum was driving her 2013 Chevy Equinox westbound on Clayton Avenue when she allegedly drove through a stop sign and collided with 2005 Toyota driven by Suydam-Taylor north on Chest Avenue. The impact caused the two vehicles to crash into a parked and unoccupied 2006 Mercury.

Wankum suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the responding emergency crews.

Suydam-Taylor reportedly suffered a possible broken leg and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
