Linda Vista, California (July 7, 2019) – A teenager was injured in a scooter accident that occurred on Friday night in Linda Vista, according to San Diego Police Department.
The incident took place at about 7 p.m. July 6, on Genesee Avenue near Richland Street.
Police said a 17-year-old boy was riding a non-motorized scooter when he jumped over a raised wall and ended up in the westbound lanes of Genesee Avenue. The boy was then hit by a Ford Focus.

The rider was rushed to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford was unhurt and stayed at the scene. Police said the 38-year-old driver was not suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
