Sonora, California (March 8, 2019) – An elderly pedestrian was hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon after being involved in a collision in Sonora.

According to the authorities, the crash took place on March 6, at the Junction Shopping Center in Sonora.

67-year-old Linda Cosgrove was hit by a 2005 Kia Optima driven by 73-year-old Carol Reising from Tuolumne. Cosgrove was standing in front of an ATM when the incident occurred.

Reising who was parking her vehicle near the ATM when she allegedly drove up at a high rate of speed onto the sidewalk.

Cosgrove sustained life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized in Modesto.

Meanwhile, no other details were provided concerning the wreck but the investigation is ongoing.
