Leroy Plum Killed in Landers Crash on Reche Road
Landers, California (May 21, 2021) – Leroy Plum, 56, of Yucca Valley was killed in a collision involving two vehicles near Landers on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 3:03 a.m., CHP said Plum was standing next to a 2004 Dodge truck that was disabled on eastbound Reche Road when the truck was hit by a 2021 white Nissan Kicks car driven by Darren Colemen, 61, of Twentynine Palms.

Plum was pinned between the two vehicles and died of his injuries at the scene.
Darren was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Passengers in the Nissan, Colleen Coleman, 54, of Twentynine Palms, and a 13-year-old, were both taken to Desert Regional with major injuries.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
