Leland West Among Two Killed in Sun Valley Accident on San Fernando Road and Lankershim Boulevard
Sun Valley, California (April 15, 2019) – Police officers have released the name of the second victim killed in a vehicle accident on Friday in Sun Valley.
The crash took place on Friday, April 12, on San Fernando Road and Lankershim Boulevard. The exact time of the accident was not given.
The police said a Toyota Corolla was turning left when a Dodge Charger traveling southbound on San Fernando at a high rate of speed struck it.
Leland West Killed in Suspected Street-Racing Crash
Two occupants of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene. One of the victims was identified as Leland West.
Three occupants of the Dodge were taken to the hospital, including the 25-year-old female driver from Pacoima.
A white and a dark Dodge Charger were reportedly racing, but only one of them was involved in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
