Lathrop, CA: Pedestrian Hit, Seriously Injured by Car on 5 Freeway

Lathrop, California (August 20, 2020) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after he was hit by a car Wednesday evening on 5 Freeway in Lathrop, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to the report, a driver of a black Lexus sedan called authorities saying they hit a pedestrian in the northbound lanes of the freeway near Roth Road off-ramp.
The victim, a thin build male wearing a black shirt, was allegedly running from the right-hand shoulder to the center divide area when the accident occurred.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the No. 1 lane.
