Larry Mangrobang Sr Identified as Person Killed in Bakersfield Car Crash at White Lane and Grissom Street
Bakersfield, California (May 17, 2020) – Authorities have identified Larry Jose Mangrobang Sr., 41, as the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Southwest Bakersfield.
The crash happened at about 2:33 p.m., on May 12, at the intersection of White Lane and Grissom Street.
A witness told the police that a driver of a black Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on White Lane when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection with Grissom Street. As a result, the Honda collided with a semi-truck that was turning southbound from White Lane onto Grissom Street
The Honda then crashed into a white Chrysler Town & Country van and a white Nissan Versa that had stopped at the intersection in the northbound lanes of Grissom Street.
Larry Mangrobang Sr Killed Traffic Crash at White Lane in Bakersfield
Mangrobang, the Honda driver, was hospitalized with major injuries following the accident. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the mishap.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the BPD at (661) 327-7111.
