Woman Dies in Lancaster Pedestrian Accident on 15th Street West near Avenue J-8

Lancaster, California (March 27, 2021) – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle while chasing suspected robbers Friday night in Lancaster, according to a local news source.
At about 8:20 p.m. Friday, March 26, authorities responded to the 44000 block of 15th Street West near Avenue J-8 for a report of a 31-year-old woman lying down in the street.
The incident began when the woman and her boyfriend were possibly robbed inside an apartment complex.
The two suspects were seen running from the complex to get into a light-colored sedan. The woman chased after the suspects and was struck by their vehicle as they attempted to run away from the area.
The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The woman’s boyfriend suffered a head wound. His condition was not immediately disclosed.
There was no description of the two suspects.
Police are still searching for the suspects.
